Indiana Fluvial Erosion Hazard Mitigation Manual

Great News!  The Indiana Fluvial Erosion Hazard Mitigation Manual has recently been published in its final form and is now available through the Indiana FEH website (http://feh.iupui.edu/) Resources page.  This Manual was prepared as a result of an initiative from the Indiana Silver Jackets, funded by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) as part of the third phase of the Indiana Fluvial Erosion Hazard Program.  The following is a direct link to the Manual:

"This manual is directed to project engineers, technical professionals, and owners involved in the design and construction of fluvial erosion hazard mitigation projects, also referred to as bank stabilization or rehabilitation. The intent of this manual is to provide direction to experienced design professionals so that any modifications made to the stream maintain or improve the stability of the waterway and protect the interests of the owner."

In addition to the final Indiana FEH Mitigation Manual, on the Indiana FEH website Resources page you will also find links to sample assessment/preliminary engineering reports for three representative sites that utilize the approach and methods laid out in the Manual.  Questions regarding the Indiana FEH Program or the Manual may be directed to Bob Barr of IUPUI at [email protected] or Siavash Beik of CBBEL at [email protected].
